Welcome to the Georgian Health Physics Association (GHPA) Web site. GHPA is a professional organization specializing in radiation protection in Georgia. GHPA became a Chapter of the U.S. Health Physics Society in 2007.
The objectives of the Association are:
To aid in the work of radiation protection and the dissemination of information between individuals in this field and related fields.
To improve public understanding of the problems and needs in radiation protection.
To promote health physics as a profession.

GHPA President-elect Dr. Lia Chelidze at 2015 HPS Annual Meeting (Indianapolis, IN)
Dr. Chelidze was awarded 2015 G. William Morgan lectureship. Therefore, she was privileged to present two topics: "Legacy of Radioactive Waste Management in Georgia: Trends and Current Situation" at the ICC special session and "Future of the Medical Health Physics Profession in Georgia" during the plenary session. read more...
